A LOOK INSIDE THE BOOK

Malachai loved their morning routine; especially as winter crept close and the days and nights grew cold. They’d awake with the room a tad chilly, stretch and turn to the soft warm bundle tucked against their chest. Aloysius would awake soon after; tickled by soft eager kisses and downy fur. 

“Let me sleep,” he’d always say, with that tired pout, but he always leaned into them. Always drank every kiss or heated morning touch. After being tangled in each other's arms; Malachai would need to prepare as much wood for the winter as possible before snow hit while Aloysius likely prepared something delicious for breakfast. 

They hope, with eyes still closed but mind creeping awake, that he’ll make those fluffy griddle cakes topped with spiced apple compote and cinnamon syrup. 

It’s the promise of food that has one golden eye crack open, slowly followed by the other. The fae stretches with a loud yawn, arms spreading out over the large bed that well accommodates themself and Aloysius. A gentle rumble of a purr fills the quiet room as they feel for the human. 

Who isn’t at their side. Or on his side of the bed. In fact, the spot where the nobleman usually sleeps is  cold. And upon them glancing about the room; he is nowhere to be found. The pleased purrs cease. 

They didn’t enjoy waking to find the man no longer cuddled with them, nor did they want to go searching for him at this hour. But Aloysius wasn’t in bed, wasn’t there for those sweet stolen kisses they’d come to adore and cherish. Or those perfect moments Malachai’s face spent buried between his thighs. Where a tree, not much taller than their little beloved, perches beside the fireplace, currently being decorated with trinkets they’d never seen before so certainly didn’t own. 

A single creak from the floor board and Aloysius turns around to face them. He wears the prettiest nervous smile on his face when the two make eye contact. The human stands, unashamed, with rounded curves wrapped in the most captivating red lace. 

Ribbon of the same color twirls up each of his forearms, with bows tied at the wrist. Regarding the man before them halts all other thoughts. Well…not all. They think of several wicked things they could do to the man, with the ribbons alone.

“What is all this?” 

It takes them a moment to ask, tone low as their golden gaze ate up the sight before them; his body so delicious under the glow from the fireplace. Firelight catches on several shiny orbs, sending colored light to dance across the room. But their gaze lingers elsewhere.
